William J. DeBruyckere, President/CEO
William (Bill) DeBruckyckere is an Eau Claire native. He completed Certified Agronomist education in 1992. In 2002, Bill was recruited by Eastwood Bank (the largest agricultural bank in Minnesota) where he managed the St. Charles location. He spent 13 years with that organization before accepting the position of President/CEO at the Pigeon Falls State Bank. In September 2018, he and a group of local investors completed the purchase of Pigeon Falls State Bank and renamed it Oakwood Bank. Bill serves on the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club Board and is a member of the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Bill enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
Donna Steen, Vice President-Business Banker
Donna has worked with new and existing customers for more than 40 years, helping to fulfill their dreams of home ownership, owning investment properties and operating a new or existing business. She has been with Oakwood bank for 23 years and her focus has been to build strong long-term relationships and provide personalized service that makes banking easy. Donna enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her adult children and a new granddaughter. She also likes to spend time kayaking on Lake Wissota, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and quiet times reading a book. Donna says she is proud to work for a community bank that supports their employees through community involvement and provides the education and support to help its customers realize their dreams.
Peggy Engstrom, Business Banker
Peggy has been with Oakwood Bank for the past 14 years. She earned her degree at Chippewa Valley Technical College for Hotel and Restaurant Management with an emphasis on Customer Relations and Accounting. She focuses on Consumer and Agricultural lending along with deposit relations. Peggy is a board member for Augusta Health and Rehabilitation and the Silver Leaf Assisted Living Facility. She is also a member of the Augusta Area Alliance Organization and volunteers throughout the community. She is the founder of the annual Warm Our Community blanket drive. Peggy enjoys supporting the County Fairs and local sporting events. Peggy lives in Augusta with her husband Jeff and their two children. She is committed to having meaningful personal connections with customers to meet their banking needs.
Skyler Herman, Business Banker
Skyler has been with Oakwood Bank since 2017. He enjoys helping local farmers and small business owners meet their financial goals. Skyler grew up on a farm in Pleasantville and graduated from Whitehall High School. He went to UW La Crosse and studied Finance. He is an active member of the Pleasantville Lions Club and serves as Treasurer for St. Paul’s “German Valley” Church. In his free time, he enjoys playing fast pitch softball, golfing, hunting, fishing, playing the fiddle, and attending sporting events. He is proud to call Whitehall home and is proud to be a part of the community where he grew up.
Leslie Mohler, Business Banker
Leslie has been with Oakwood Bank since July of 2019. She came to the team with over 30 years of
lending experience in consumer mortgage, commercial and agriculture. She has experience with various financial institutions as well as local and federal government agencies and a couple years experience working at a title company. Her career in financial services spans from being a teller to managing a branch. Having grown up on a small family farm in a community much like where our branches are located, she appreciates the hard work and dedication it takes to connect with our customers. Leslie lives in Mondovi with her two children and enjoys going to their athletic events and vocal performances. Together they sing in their church choir and enjoy spending time together and with friends.
Scott Rannila, VP/Business Development
Scott joined Oakwood Bank in June 2020 and brings almost 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. In 2009 he and his family relocated from Massachusetts to Eau Claire, WI. Since that time Scott has managed bank branches as well as a portfolio of high net worth and commercial clients providing his clients with advice, tools and guidance to achieve their financial goals. Scott studied business administration at Fitchburg State University, has held various investment and insurance licenses and currently holds the designation of Certified Wealth Strategist. Scott currently serves on the board for Downtown Eau Claire Inc., is a member of the Eau Claire Rotary Club as well as various other local committees. In his free time Scott can usually be found spending time outside with his wife and three children.
